The Knight-Wallace Fellowship has a deep commitment to making this a life-changing year for your entire family. To that end, spouses, partners and children are an integral part of our program.
For spouses and partners – or co-Fellows, as they’ve dubbed themselves in the past – the Fellowship year is a tremendous and inclusive opportunity. In addition to the program’s activities, spouses and partners enjoy access to the intellectual resources of a world-class University.
We encourage them to take classes, pursue forgotten interests – and offer support in any way we can. Many spouses have taken the year to write books of their own. Many have discovered new passions, contemplated major career shifts and have emerged, perhaps, as the even better better halves of our Fellows.
For those of you with children, we are eager to help make the year just as eye-opening for your kids. Weekends at Wallace House are often marked by children running through the halls playing tag, plonking away at the piano or tossing a ball in the backyard.
Ann Arbor takes tremendous pride in its reputation as a stellar family town, offering up a variety of terrific housing opportunities, exceptional childcare, outstanding schools and myriad activities – all at a reasonable cost of living.
